Knock, Knock......
*sticks peeks in door*
"Oh good, coast is clear. She should never had left her 'house' open."
*nosing around house*
"Here's what I'm looking for. The keys to her new house. It's almost finished. So, I figure since VW is such a busy mom, she would really appreciate our help decorating it. So grab the few provisions she left and any you want to bring and lets head down the road to the new house. Won't she be so surprised?!!!!!!! It will be great that she won't have to decorate it."
"Wait, let me see what I have in my garage I can donate."
*rummages through garage*
"Hey, I think this gold and green shag carpeting will look great in the living room. Anyone have a velvet Elvis or the Dogs playing poker picture? Those would be awesome in here."
"Wow, I found the perfect couch. Don't you think she will like this?"
"Okay, friends. Let's get busy. Grab some paint. Drag in some furniture. Have a shot or two. And let's get this house decorating party going. We don't have long she will be back Monday evening. Spread the word to everyone. Have fun!"
*picks up some Winnie the Pooh border. GRINS.*

Toluca Nole found this perfect picture
Does this come in adult size? It looks fun.

Posted by: Harvey at October 2, 2005 12:24 AMHarvey--a baby patter or an automatic spanking machine? LOL! Put that in the Master Bedroom.
Posted by: Sticks at October 2, 2005 06:32 AMOK! I'll look around here & see what I can come up with. See what she gets for leaving the keys behind?
The couch and carpeting are just fab! Anyone have a lava lamp?
Posted by: Marie at October 2, 2005 07:51 AMI'll see you that lava lamp and up you those bead things from the 60s that they hung from doorways instead of... doors. I think they definitely need a set of those in the master bedroom doorway!
Posted by: Bou at October 2, 2005 12:45 PMMarie-the lava lamp is a great touch. That will keep Tater and Tot entertained. As will the beads, Bou. Hours and hours of playing in them.
I found the coolest chaise lounge. http://zitro-furniture.com/catalogue/tongue.html It's a pierced tounge. That can go in the Master Bedroom, too.
Oh, oh, I just remembered, she seemed fond of that casket entertainment center.
I'm going to start painting the living room. *pulls out black paint* It won't show finger prints or dirt or drawings by little boys.
Posted by: Sticks at October 2, 2005 01:45 PMHow about one wall of that chalkboard paint in the living room? So the boys can create a new mural each day? I think that would be special!
Posted by: Marie at October 2, 2005 03:09 PMMarie- That's great! Nothing like kids drawing on all the walls all day!
Hmm. I think they need one of those heart shaped beds that vibrates... with red satin sheets! That goes with black walls... right?
Posted by: Bou at October 2, 2005 04:56 PMHow about Tigger vs Hobbes for Tater and Tots rooms? The slip and slide can go in the hall.
Posted by: Sticks at October 2, 2005 06:35 PMOh, the family room needs a disco ball that Tater and Tot can use when they dance to The Wiggles!
Posted by: Bou at October 2, 2005 08:57 PMI found the "Christmas Story Lamp". It will go perfect next to the pierced tongue chair. I put it in the extended entry for safe keeping.
Posted by: Sticks at October 3, 2005 05:45 AMOh my gosh! That pierced tongue chair is perfect! As is the heart-shaped/satin bed!!
The master suite will need some appropriate music piped in too -- how about some Barry White?
And with all this space, how about an aquarium room? You know, all the kids have regular old fish tanks. We can fill one of these empty rooms with a room-sized aquarium. Then the boys can have their own pet seals! Fish are so passe! I'm sure VW & hubby would enjoy it too.
Posted by: Marie at October 3, 2005 06:51 AMI think some of those classy and understated pink flamingos might look nice in the lawn. The neighbors will love them.
Posted by: ArmyWifeToddlerMom at October 3, 2005 09:47 AMYes! I like the flamingo idea!
And maybe a few sets of those classy hanging patio lanterns -- perhaps the hula girl variety.
Boy, VW has left her place in good hands, huh?
Posted by: Marie at October 3, 2005 11:31 AMOh- you've already got the beads, good....now don't forget to run down to the paint store and buy glow-in-the-dark paint. You can't see it during the day....but at night, with a black light...WoW!!
I suggest painting subconscience 'advertising' on the walls....maybe even a few graphic, uh-hum, idea's.....
It's all about the feelin' babee! Yeah babee!
Posted by: Rave at October 3, 2005 12:11 PMWhile you're out in the yard with the flamingos... why don't you add a lawn jockey... and a garden gnome?
Posted by: Teresa at October 3, 2005 02:55 PMShe needs something for her pool. Hmm. Maybe a blow up doll, like the kind 'men' buy. Those float, right?
Posted by: Bou at October 3, 2005 04:38 PMYou could frame this:

Posted by: Toluca Nole at October 3, 2005 05:46 PMI found a great housewarming gift. It's an egg seperator. Everyone needs one like this. (It's in the extended entries.)
Posted by: Sticks at October 3, 2005 06:09 PMI found the perfect pool float. Bou, you need one of these. It's for human hamsters. It's floating in the extended entries.
Posted by: Sticks at October 3, 2005 06:39 PMHarvey: Can I use it on my husband?
Toluca Nole: hahahahahah. I can't believe you found that.
Black walls? Heart Shaped bed? Beads? Lava Lamps? What in the world????
Flamingos? OMG! And let's make sure those suggestive messages are words and not pictures... don't want the kids figuring it out too soon...
Oh My... Lawn Jockey? Gnomes? What is going to be left of my yard?
Ok, I really do like the egg separator. That is cool.
Nope, no floats like that... I know exactly what my kids would do with it. GRIN.
You have been so busy while I was gone. I guess I'll have to stay home over the weekends. I figured not many people would stop by... I was WRONG!
And THANKS for stopping by and leaving a comment Rave.
