Do You Know...

UPDATE: CalTechGirl gave me the answer!!!! Coatimundi... Yipeeee!!

UPDATE #2:
The short version used for this animal is Coati... So close and yet so far.

...what the animal is that is chasing the hurt Mama Macaw in Go Diego Go? It is driving me nuts. It started with Tater telling me a Karate was chasing him. Huh? I finally saw the show ONCE. It sounded more like Ka-wa-dee to me. And it looked similar to a Lemar. But I can't find any such animal. What is that animal???? What is it's real name? Someone HELP!!!!

Of course, the show has not replayed since I have started watching for it. Any help in figuring out what that animal really is, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Well I'm just chock a block full of info on our new friend the Coati. Look at this:

"The Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts of southwestern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico and the Big Bend to Brownsville areas of Texas."

This is for the white nosed Coati. I think we need to roadtrip it to Brownsville. Oh and further research I did said they ate eggs... perhaps Macaw eggs?

I just said out loud what your son said....
At first I thought Coyote, but then I read that you said it looked like a lemur and it clicked. If your kids were older, you might have known what he was because of Zooboomafoo (or however you spell it) on PBS. That show features a Coati puppet.
