At my house this morning in Tot's room where the boys are playing. Mom walks by to put up clothes:
Tater: Mom, Tot put me in timeout for 5 minutes.
Mom: Uhhhhh... he's just joking.
Tater: No he's not, I punched him.
Mom: Well, you are only 4, so your timeout can only be for 4 minutes. Tot just thinks you are a 5 year old.
Tater: Oh, ok.
= = = =
A few minutes later...
Tater: Tot, I'm only 4, my timeout can only be 4 minutes.
Tot: Ok Tater.
Gosh, this is sooo cute. They are getting to the age I love most. when you can actually sit with them and hold nice tiny conversations with them and get to see the world through the filter of their eyes.

Reminds me of the time Daredevil came running into the house and told me somebody pushed Chowhound down (they were the only ones there). I asked him if he did it and he said no. I told him then somebody needs to stand in the corner, so he put himself in the corner.
Posted by: Sticks at October 13, 2006 06:07 PMYeah, they're so darn cute at those ages. God does that on purpose, to create a bond and sweet memories. So then maybe you won't kill them when they're teenagers!
