Nothing like getting two people afraid of heights, one with vertigo and the need to get up high. Yaa. I decided to put my Hubby's bottle collection on the shelf around the pantry. This required me to go up the ladder and my mother to hand them to me. I'm shaking as I reach down, she is shaking as she has to look down at the floor and put her hand up. Both of us hoping we don't drop any. Happy no one with a video camera is lurking around. With all the difficulties, I think it turned out great. Here are a few pictures:

The other pictures didn't really turn out. I'll try to take more later. Mammaw keeps me hopping!
Just one question...when Mammaw has gone home, who's going to help you get up there and dust them????

Mrs. Who: dust them? they're way up high. no one will see them well enough to complain about the dust. And with Tator and Tot to continually clean up after, when would Bug have time to think about dusty bottles?
Bug: we have empty coke bottles above our pantry, and the tops of our cabinets lined with empty wine bottles. Hubby put rope lighting behind, so when we have company and remember, the bottles are illuminated.
Posted by: wRitErsbLock at March 22, 2007 07:34 AMRope lighting would be great! I'll have to look for some on sale. I have plugs up there and it would be no problem to put some behind them. I even have a light switch set up to turn the plugs on and off... so you don't have to climb up to do it! Thanks for the idea.
Posted by: vw bug at March 22, 2007 01:31 PMMy first thought was also about dust on all that bottles.
Posted by: Amily at March 23, 2007 08:42 AMBug, the rope light in the kitchen, the cord reaches to the plug where we can reach it. The rope lights in the family room are more difficult. We have one on a remote (christmas tree remote thingy), so we can turn it on and off easily. The other is on a timer. We always know what time it is when the red rope light clicks on!
Posted by: wRitErsbLock at March 23, 2007 09:19 AMHey VW,
I have been trying to get info about a Coke a Cola Bottle I found in Grassy Sound NJ. This bottle has the logo on it but is not the regular and unique shape it is today, (glass), can anybody help?
