Different Kind of Recipes

Many years ago my Mom sent me four recipes to make. It is for Bug Control made from stuff you have at home. I thought it would be perfect to share on the Carnival of Recipes as a change of pace. Besides I couldn't find the recipe I was looking for when I found this one! These are real recipes for what it is stated, but they are NOT for human consumption. They may not appear on the Carnival of Recipes, and that's ok. They are good recipes if you need them.

For Lawn Bugs

1 Can of Beer
1 cup Ammonia
1 cup Liquid Lawn food
1 cup liquid dish detergent
½ cup molasses

Use a hose sprayer. Spray before noon once a month.

For Lawn Varments

8 oz liquid dish detergent
Bottle of castor oil

Use a hose sprayer

For Slugs

1 part aluminum sulfate
4 parts pellet lime or powdered lime

Mix then Spread where needed.

For Mosquito's

1 quart water
1 capful lemon ammonia
1 capful mint scented mouthwash (optional)
1 capful lemon liquid dish detergent

Spray with hand sprayer where needed. It's the odor that keeps them away, it does NOT kill them.

Ooooo! cool!

Do you have any home remedies for mosquito-repellent for the skin of little boys?

For little boys? Non-poison? Skin So Soft from Avon works. Stinks and the mosquito and flies stay away. I have even used it on horses when I ran out of anything else. Doesn't work more than an hour if there is a good sweat being worked up.
